About Menlo
Menlo Research builds thinking machines that work with and for humanity.
We’re an applied research lab named after Edison’s laboratory in Menlo Park , the first invention lab.
We build products that give people thinking machines:
- Jan : General-purpose AI agent that gets things done
- Asimov : Humanoid robots for dangerous work
- Perceptron (soon): Intelligent Sensors
- Cloud: A platform that enables thinking machines
We build ecosystems by embracing open-source and building in public , so anyone can contribute to the future of humanity.
What we’re working towards
We’re building toward a ten-year horizon where thinking machines are ordinary.
Every generation inherits tools their parents couldn’t have imagined, and uses them in ways their parents wouldn’t recognize. We’re building for uses that don’t exist yet, for people who will know better than us what to do with it.
How we’re structured
We do R&D and build products. Each product operates independently with its own market, timeline, and business model, but they share a research core where discoveries transfer across all three. Each must succeed on its own terms.
Working with us
We build long-term partnerships. The question is: what problem are you solving, and does building with us make it easier, faster, or radically cheaper?
